Finch Therapy Treatment

Nerves that exit from the spine are responsible for the function of the muscles in your body.

When there is interference to the nerve impulses that are generated from these nerves either by tight muscles or stiff joints, normal stability and function of your body is diminished.  Finch Therapy utilises neuro-muscular techniques that improve joint function and muscle tone/length.  These techniques mostly revolve around low grade muscular contractions and are generally non-painful to perform.

Finch Therapy does NOT use manipulation or mobilisation techniques of the spine to achieve results, consequently making it a safe and natural therapy for the whole family.

Our results are achieved by encouraging the natural healing ability of the human body to take place with some professional guidance and intervention.  This is done by creating  balance of the musculoskeletal system (spine, pelvis and limbs) decreasing stress and strain placed on musculoskeletal,  neuromuscular  and myofascial systems.

Finch Therapy Muscle Activation Techniques

Finch Therapy muscle activation techniques  stimulates a nervous system response reducing abnormal tension placed on joints, muscles and the nervous system encouraging normal function of the musculoskeletal system.

Whilst Finch Therapy is a treatment for optimal postural alignment, musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction, many clients have reported other health improvements such as increased energy, resolution of irritable bowel and digestive symptoms, to name a few.

Depending on the complexity of the condition, consultation and treatments needed generally range anywhere from 1 – 6 treatments.

Once the initial phase of treatment has been completed, many clients/patients prefer to be placed on a maintenance program of a consultation every 2-3 months. The idea of this concept is to correct any abnormalities of postural alignment that may occur as a result of every day wear and tear before symptoms appear.
